Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Worker at POK GLOBAL CARE INC, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assistance: Aid patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Support: Serve meal trays and assist patients with eating as needed.
  • Mobility Aid: Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Communication: Deliver messages and reports between departments to facilitate patient care.
  • Room Maintenance: Make beds and keep patient rooms tidy and organized.
  • Medical Support: Assist with basic medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Transport: Safely transport patients between care facilities.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to call signals to address patients' needs promptly.
  • Surgical Preparation: Prepare patients for surgical procedures by ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Security and Safety Requirements
  • Basic security clearance and a criminal record check are mandatory.
  • Up-to-date immunization records are required.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding environment that includes standing for extended periods and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
