Nurse Aide

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Aide to join our team at Assurance Home Care Inc. as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, maintaining their personal hygiene and dignity.
- Medical Support: Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Meal Preparation and Service: Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain patients' rooms, making beds, and ensuring the environment is clean and comfortable.
- Transportation and Mobility: Safely transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring their mobility and accessibility needs are met.
- Communication and Observation: Answer call signals, collect specimens, and observe patients' behavior, reporting any concerns or changes to the healthcare team.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient use of resources.
- Pre-Surgical Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- First Aid and Emergency Response: Administer first aid in emergency situations, responding promptly and effectively to ensure patient safety.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Language: English.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 37.5 hours per week.
