Senior Manager, Performance Optimization

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Performance Optimization - International Banking Retail to join our team at Scotiabank. This is a key role that will support the business performance, forecasting, and planning disciplines to monitor and execute the International Banking Retail strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Build a High-Performance Environment
- Implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Showcase the performance and drivers of key performance indicators of the International Banking Retail business line.
- Track execution of International Banking strategy.
- Partner with Segment, Product, Channel, and Country Leaders to ensure alignment to International Banking Retail long-term strategy.
- Better understand the impact of business strategies/decisions.
- Manage day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
- Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree required and master's degree preferred in Analytics/Business/Finance/Economics.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the financial sector.
- Demonstrated strategic influencing ability, and a high degree of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong financial and business acumen with a result-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in performance management, financial planning, and forecasting is an asset.
- Experience in applying agile principles and practices.
