CNC Punch Programmer/Operator

(Afternoon Shift)

Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to enhance our production team. The ideal candidate should possess qualifications, dedication, and a strong motivation to thrive in a collaborative environment within a growing organization. This role is a full-time afternoon shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings and configure machines according to these specifications.
  • Possess knowledge of PLC and automation processes.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with both hardware and software components.
  • Understand process flow and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
  • Utilize computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests to verify that products adhere to design specifications.
  • Modify machine cutting paths or settings to enhance production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Evaluate tools necessary for cutting specific materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Diagnose and resolve machine-related issues as they occur.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and sharpening.
  • Instruct new employees on the proper operation of CNC Punch Machines and programming.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Adept at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical challenges.
  • Ability to work independently while closely adhering to instructions is crucial.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for brief durations.
  • Familiarity with RADAN programming and AMADA CNC punch machines is advantageous.
  • Certification in PLC is a plus.
  • Availability for afternoon shifts is required; however, the candidate must be able to work day shifts for the initial training period.
