About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to join our production team at Mircom Group of Companies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up machines, programming cutting paths, and ensuring products meet design specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Programming: Read technical drawings and set up machines in accordance with these blueprints.
  • Automation and PLC Knowledge: Familiarity with PLC knowledge and automation is required.
  • Hardware and Software Familiarity: Knowledge of hardware and software is essential for this role.
  • Process Flow and Lean Methodology: Understanding of process flow and lean methodology is necessary for optimizing production.
  • TPM and Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications and adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise and perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC Punch Machines and programs.
Requirements and Skills
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Attention to Detail: Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation: Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
  • Availability and Adaptability: Available to work weekends and overtime and capable of standing for extended periods of time.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Software and Hardware Familiarity: Familiarity with RADAN of line programming and AMADA CNC punch machines.
  • PLC Certification: Certified in PLC a bonus.
