CNC Punch Programmer/Operator

(Afternoon Shift)

Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to enhance our production capabilities. The ideal candidate should possess the necessary qualifications, demonstrate dedication, and exhibit a strong motivation to thrive in a collaborative environment within a growing organization. This role is a full-time afternoon shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical schematics and configure machines in alignment with these specifications.
  • Utilize knowledge of PLC and automation processes.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with both hardware and software components.
  • Understand process flow and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
  • Employ computer software to design cutting paths and program machinery accordingly.
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations to verify that products adhere to design specifications.
  • Modify machine cutting paths or settings to enhance production efficiency while ensuring quality standards.
  • Assess tools necessary for cutting specific materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with machinery as they occur.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and sharpening.
  • Instruct new team members on the proper operation of CNC Punch Machines and programming.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical challenges.
  • Capacity to work independently while closely adhering to instructions is crucial.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Availability for weekend and overtime work is necessary.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for brief intervals.
  • Familiarity with RADAN programming and AMADA CNC punch machines is advantageous.
  • PLC certification is a plus.
  • Must be available for afternoon shifts; however, initial training may require day shift availability.
