Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to join our production team at Mircom Group of Companies. This is a full-time afternoon-shift position for our headquarters in Vaughan, ON.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to set up machines according to blueprints.
  • Develop and implement PLC knowledge and automation systems.
  • Ensure hardware and software familiarity to optimize production.
  • Implement process flow and lean methodology to improve efficiency.
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  • Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
  • Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC Punch Machines and programs.
Requirements and Skills
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems.
  • Ability to work closely with directions and have a positive and professional attitude.
  • Available to work weekends and overtime.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Familiarity with RADAN of line programming and AMADA CNC punch machines.
  • Certified in PLC is a bonus.
  • Must be available to work the afternoon shift, with the first three months on the job requiring day shift schedule.
