About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to join our production team at Mircom Group of Companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC punch machines to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Operation: Read technical drawings and set up machines in accordance with blueprints.
  • PLC and Automation: Possess knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
  • Hardware and Software Familiarity: Have a strong understanding of hardware and software systems, including computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Process Flow and Lean Methodology: Apply lean principles to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machines are running at optimal levels.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Programming and Troubleshooting: Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC punch machines and programs.
Requirements and Skills
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation: Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability and Flexibility: Available to work weekends and overtime, and capable of standing for extended periods of time.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Software and Hardware Familiarity: Familiarity with RADAN of line programming and AMADA CNC punch machines, and certified in PLC a bonus.
