About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to join our production team at Mircom Group of Companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC punch machines to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Operation: Read technical drawings and set up machines in accordance with blueprints.
  • PLC and Automation: Possess knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
  • Hardware and Software Familiarity: Familiarity with hardware and software components of CNC punch machines.
  • Process Flow and Lean Methodology: Understand process flow and lean methodology principles to optimize production.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Perform TPM tasks to ensure machines are running efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise, and perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC punch machines and programs.
Requirements and Skills
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation: Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential, as well as a positive and professional attitude.
  • Availability and Physical Demands: Available to work weekends and overtime, capable of standing for extended periods, and able to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods.
  • Software and Machine Familiarity: Familiarity with RADAN of line programming and AMADA CNC punch machines, and certified in PLC is a bonus.
