CNC Punch Programmer/Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Punch Programmer/Operator to join our production team at Mircom Group of Companies. This is a full-time afternoon-shift position for our HQ in Vaughan, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up machines according to technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Utilize PLC knowledge and automation to optimize production.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software is essential.
  • Process flow and lean methodology are crucial for success.
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
  • Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC Punch Machines and programs.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints is necessary.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
  • Positive and professional attitude is required.
  • Available to work weekends and overtime.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Familiarity with RADAN of line programming and AMADA CNC punch machines is a plus.
  • Certified in PLC is a bonus.
