About the Senate
The Senate serves a pivotal function in shaping our nation's democracy. As members of the upper house of Parliament, senators engage in legislative review, public policy analysis, advocacy, and interparliamentary diplomacy. Your Role and Contributions
We seek a proactive and motivated professional to enhance our Client Service Centre (CSC), providing support to all Senators, Senate staff, and Canadians. As a vital member of the Client Service Centre, your responsibilities will include processing and evaluating requests related to operational services. You will identify potential challenges, track critical information, consult with subject matter experts as necessary, and coordinate with internal and external service providers to fulfill service requests.
Leveraging your established client service expertise, you will address general inquiries from the public concerning the Senate. Additionally, you will engage in special projects, prepare reports, and manage various administrative tasks associated with client services.

The general public is invited to apply for one (1) or multiple full-time indeterminate and determinate positions within the Property and Services Directorate. This selection process may also be utilized to fill similar positions at the same level with comparable requirements.

Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school education or an acceptable combination of relevant education and experience;
- Experience delivering customer service to a diverse clientele in person, via phone, and through virtual platforms;
- Proficiency in data entry into electronic databases;
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications;
- Ability to collaborate and engage professionally with senators, Senate staff, and others;
- Capacity to multitask and manage multiple files in a dynamic environment;
- Skill in clearly identifying issues, assessing information, and articulating complex topics in plain language in both official languages;
- Experience in a call center or customer service setting is considered an asset;
- Experience in report preparation and statistical analysis is advantageous;
- Knowledge of or experience with parliamentary institutions is a plus.
