Position Overview

The Youth Services Worker plays a vital role in providing support and guidance to young individuals within the community. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the well-being and development of youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Conduct interviews with clients to evaluate their adjustment challenges and needs.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and case histories to track progress and outcomes.
  • Administrative Duties: Engage in various office activities to support service delivery.
  • Needs Evaluation: Assess clients' eligibility for specific services and programs.
  • Program Development: Design and implement rehabilitation programs tailored to offenders, including establishing conduct rules and objectives.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Conduct life skills workshops to empower clients.
  • Skills Assessment: Evaluate clients' strengths and areas for development.
  • Service Coordination: Develop and manage the delivery of targeted services within the community.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide support during suicide and crisis situations.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Supervision: Oversee children's visits with parents to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Behavior Management: Implement programs to manage and improve behavior.
  • Counseling: Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support clients.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with other social service agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients.
  • Outcome Measurement: Develop logic models and measures to evaluate service interventions.
  • Client Support: Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social activities.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is necessary.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
