Reporting directly to the AVP of Pricing & Inforce Management, this pivotal role is essential for the strategic pricing and development of Sun Life's product offerings. We seek a professional who can deliver creative solutions to intricate business challenges while fostering growth and collaborating with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Research & Development and Product teams to conceptualize and launch new product initiatives
  • Establish pricing for new offerings, ensuring adherence to risk management protocols
  • Employ actuarial models for comprehensive analysis to achieve profitability targets
  • Provide insights to business partners and senior leadership regarding product features and pricing strategies
  • Mentor actuarial team members on modeling techniques and product development methodologies
  • Engage with cross-functional teams with diverse expertise
  • Guarantee compliance with internal governance standards
  • Demonstrate leadership and align objectives with overarching business goals

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in actuarial roles
  • FSA, FCIA, FIA, or equivalent designation
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude
  • Exceptional communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of business partners across different locations
  • Self-motivated and dedicated to client service excellence

  • Familiarity with variance insurance products
  • Innovative and forward-thinking mindset
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Experience with Pathwise modeling
  • Prior experience in leading complex initiatives
