Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Lead Compliance Strategist within our organization. This position is integral to the effective management and oversight of our compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a robust compliance program that aligns with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct risk assessments, controls, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to compliance protocols.
  • Collaborate with business units and internal partners to ensure regulatory obligations are met.
  • Advise on new products and regulatory changes, assisting in the development of updated policies and programs.
  • Identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Produce and maintain compliance information for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Stay informed on regulatory requirements and changes to ensure compliance objectives are met.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance regulations and policies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide insights on compliance-related matters.
  • Support strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish effective relationships with business units and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze compliance data and report findings to the compliance team and business leadership.
  • Oversee the implementation and communication of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of risk assessments and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Identify and resolve compliance issues, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties.
  • Provide guidance on compliance training needs and contribute to the development of training programs.
  • Represent the compliance team during audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance compliance processes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience, with a post-secondary degree in a related field.
  • Certification in compliance or a related area is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of consumer protection regulations and related marketing guidelines.
  • Proven experience in compliance within a regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Expertise in collaboration and teamwork across various groups.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision-making.
