About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Compliance to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business practices and operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess risk across all business lines and strategies to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement effective compliance programs and policies to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in compliance practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals to ensure effective execution of compliance programs.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as law, business, or finance.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance or a related field, with a strong background in regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of compliance professionals.
