Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Senior Services Administrative Coordinator. This role is essential in providing extensive administrative support to the Senior Services division, ensuring smooth operations and effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver administrative support to the Senior Services division.
  • Oversee correspondence, scheduling, and departmental communications.
  • Maintain and organize files and records, ensuring confidentiality and easy access.
  • Prepare and circulate meeting agendas, minutes, and pertinent documents.
  • Assist seniors in completing and submitting various forms related to pensions, income tax, medical needs, and registrations.
  • Stay informed about the requirements and processes for different forms and applications.
  • Guide and support seniors in understanding and navigating these procedures.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for daily tasks and communication.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets, documents, and presentations as necessary.
  • Coordinate virtual meetings and maintain digital records.
  • Assist in planning and executing programs and events for seniors.
  • Provide logistical support during events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external organizations for event-related needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred additional education or certification in office administration, business administration, social services, or a related field.
  • Training or coursework in elder care, social work, or community services is an asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a social services, community organization, or healthcare setting.
  • Experience assisting individuals with various governmental forms and applications.
  • Proven ability to provide high-level administrative support, including scheduling and document preparation.
  • Experience in coordinating and supporting events and programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with practical experience in document and spreadsheet management.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
  • Must provide a Clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Must provide a clear Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector.
  • Ability to speak Cree or Dene is a definite asset.
  • Experience working in an Indigenous community and knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, and values is considered an asset.
