**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at MAPLE Convenience Store. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that all areas of the store are adequately staffed.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed during peak periods.
  • Sell merchandise, including promoting products and services to customers.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues, including supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that products are displayed attractively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and guidance to staff members.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliability and dependability, with a strong work ethic.
  • Initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a retail environment, with a high level of customer interaction.
  • May be required to work in a non-smoking environment.
  • May be required to work in an air-conditioned environment.
  • May be required to handle heavy loads.
  • May be required to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods.
