Job Summary:

The Regina Public Library is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the achievement of organizational objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters
  • Manage and develop HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Lead the recruitment and selection process for all positions
  • Develop and implement training and development programs for employees
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and grievance procedures
  • Develop and manage the HR budget
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement organizational change initiatives

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR leadership, preferably in a unionized environment
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of current HR trends and best practices
