The Human Resources Leader collaborates with organizational leaders and team members to cultivate an environment that promotes diversity, creativity, efficiency, and ongoing enhancement. This position delivers consultative and business-oriented services to the leadership and employees within the designated business unit/function/location, ensuring alignment between the human resources strategy and the overall business strategy while addressing HR-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Acts as a vital member of the leadership teams within the assigned business unit/location/function. Collaborates with leaders to devise and execute people and organizational strategies that align with business goals. Provides insights on business challenges and advocates for business needs when establishing HR priorities. Delivers proactive, innovative, and client-focused HR solutions that are in sync with business objectives.
  • Talent Development: Partners closely with Talent Acquisition Specialists and Hiring Managers to facilitate hiring processes, which encompass talent assessments, succession planning, leadership training, organizational design, and staffing strategies. Oversees selection and onboarding processes, as well as talent deployment across the organization. Anticipates resource needs and skills required to support strategic business aims and implements strategies to bridge any gaps.
  • HR Services Management: Directs all facets of Human Resource services for the designated location/function/business unit. Implements and executes both enterprise-wide and specific HR initiatives and functions, including change management, talent development, leadership training, career progression, training and development, performance evaluation, managerial effectiveness, compensation, compliance, and communication. Leads HR-related projects and collaborates with Centers of Excellence, HR Specialists, and Shared Services as necessary to drive essential HR processes.
  • Employee Relations: Utilizes expertise in employee and labor relations to enhance management and employee interactions, fostering credibility and trust. Oversees labor relations initiatives as needed and advises management on the application and interpretation of labor agreements. Engages in dialogue with employee and union representatives, participates in union management discussions, and manages grievances, contract negotiations, and arbitration processes.
Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or a related field
  • Experience with employment laws and practices
  • Proficiency in change management
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Digital proficiency
  • Able to analyze data driven by analytics
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Familiarity with modern HRIS systems, such as Workday, SAP, and other relevant technologies, e.g., PowerBI - preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in English
  • HR Expertise: Comprehensive HR knowledge base; capable of influencing organizational success through the development, maintenance, and execution of effective HR policies, practices, and procedures that align with the organizational mission and objectives.
  • Consultation, Influence, Change Leadership, Relationship Management: Drives organizational initiatives and secures stakeholder buy-in; collaborates across functions to create and implement solutions; supports and facilitates change across the organization.
  • Business Acumen and Strategic Insight: Understands business operations and recognizes how HR practices contribute to essential business functions.
  • Critical Thinking/Evaluation: Enhances the effectiveness of human capital programs by supporting their development and monitoring their success using relevant data.
  • Creativity, Flexibility, and Agility: Capable of innovative thinking to identify optimal recommendations and solutions.
  • Communication: Ensures clarity and conciseness in messaging, making it easily understood by diverse audiences.
  • Autonomy: Capable of working independently without close supervision or guidance.
