Join Our Team as an HSE Coordinator

As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to our comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment Management Program, as well as relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with site leadership to foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Serve as a resource for field personnel, providing guidance and support on HSE matters.
  • Identify, document, and manage workplace hazards effectively.
  • Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated in line with company and client protocols.
  • Maintain an HSE communication board for easy access to essential documentation.
  • Oversee the availability and condition of safety equipment and personal protective gear.
  • Assist in conducting daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
  • Review and ensure compliance with safe work practices and policies.
  • Maintain a strong field presence, documenting daily observations.
  • Review hazard assessments and inspection forms for accuracy.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and crews regarding HSE concerns.
  • Conduct regular work site inspections as per company and client standards.
  • Lead and participate in orientation and training initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by site management.

Qualifications

  • Proven safety leadership skills.
  • Positive and collaborative mindset.
  • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation is required.
  • CRSP or Occupational Health and Safety Certificate is an asset.
  • Advanced First Aid certification is beneficial.
  • 5-10 years of experience in HSE roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Understanding of WCB claim management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Fall Protection and Confined Space protocols.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across various teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
