Job Summary

We are currently in search of a Senior Engagement and Event Coordinator to become a vital member of our Technology Communications & Outreach (TCO) team. This team is essential in advancing our mission of fostering meaningful connections with a diverse array of stakeholders through effective communication strategies.

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing stakeholder engagement specifically for our sustainability initiatives. As a key contributor, the Senior Engagement and Event Coordinator will assist in the planning and execution of events and public relations campaigns tailored for our Technology Oversight and Coordination (TOC) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and organize global workshops, events, and conferences centered on sustainability, climate change, and advancements in climate technologies.
  • Craft annual engagement and event branding strategies for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate visits with key stakeholders, educational institutions, and relevant organizations as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, develop project scopes, and supervise work programs.
  • Support and enhance corporate communication initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain an internal communication governance framework with regular strategic assessments and tactical reviews.
  • Evaluate and analyze the success of marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Design marketing campaigns, brand materials, and long-term strategies, overseeing the contributions of external consultants including web developers and content creators.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation by managing brand resources and processes, including messaging frameworks and visual assets.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to inform data-driven marketing campaigns and align with organizational goals.
  • Drive organizational growth by formulating content marketing and demand generation strategies that enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Create and implement a strategic calendar for external events to boost awareness among potential clients and accelerate existing opportunities.
  • Develop a centralized events calendar for email marketing campaigns, managing the entire process from creative development to analysis.
  • Generate innovative ideas for events and collaborate with external agencies to execute promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with marketing and other professionals to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Plan and implement strategies to effectively reach target audiences through various channels.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Media, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in event management.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience in strategic communication and public affairs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidence, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and diplomatic communication skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior leadership and various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including international destinations.
