Job Title: Student Engagement Coordinator

SAIT is seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the Student Services department, you will play a vital role in creating a culture and environment that unleashes the full potential of all students at SAIT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for students and staff, as needed
  • Meet with students individually or in groups, as needed
  • Lead and/or support in coordination, set up, and take down for events, programming, and activities
  • Recruit, train, and mentor student and staff volunteers
  • Lead and/or support the creation, implementation, and delivery of programs or activities, as assigned
  • Ensure that assigned programs, activities, and tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Requirements:
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree (multiple diplomas may be considered)
  • 2-5 years' experience planning, coordinating, and managing events and multiple projects in a post-secondary institution
  • Must be able to travel and have the appropriate identification and travel documentation
  • Availability to coordinate and deliver programming on evenings and weekends as needed
  • Solid research skills and an ability to convert research into programming
  • Strong written English skills
  • Experience with MS Office, including comfort with form creation and database management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years working in a post-secondary institution in a progressively responsible position
  • Implementing initiatives and growing programs in a post-secondary environment
  • Recruiting, developing, mentoring, and training students who are involved in student affairs programming and events
  • Working and collaborating with stakeholders on major student affairs programming in a post-secondary institution
  • Working within a set budget
