We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at Sushiyama Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Japanese dishes to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to our high standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize ordering.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
