Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Lush Handmade Cosmetics is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Safety: Coach staff, managers, and contractors in the interpretation and application of internal and regional health and safety regulations. Identify non-compliant or incomplete EHS procedures. Ensure documentation is completed to support company due diligence in ensuring the safety of employees.
  • Occupational Health: Monitor, analyze, and interpret WSIB reports, WSIB COMPASS, accident cost statements, and other statistical analysis to monitor the health and wellness of staff and develop strategies to prevent, reduce, and minimize the impact of occupational injuries.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in an occupational safety manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Ontario workplace safety legislation/WSIB
  • Experience building and rolling out Health and Safety programs
  • First Aid Training
  • Experience collaborating on projects with cross-functional departments
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships

What We Offer: A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $66,000 CAD, a dynamic and inclusive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
