About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist to join our team at Green Infrastructure Partners. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Data Analysis: Develop and maintain accurate health and safety statistics and trending analysis for our local and regional sites.
  • Safety Metrics and Reporting: Update safety metrics and administer the Safety Incident Tracking database on a weekly basis.
  • Incident Tracking and Reporting: Perform data entry to ensure quality on incident tracking systems, monitor and set for approval, and create reports.
  • Presentations and Communication: Standardize and develop PowerPoint presentations, and communicate information to employees regarding health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Statistical Trend Analysis: Prepare detailed statistical trend analysis and develop reports and presentations, including the preparation of graphs and charts.
  • Safety Communication and Training: Communicate on safety bulletin boards, develop other means of communication, and facilitate weekly safety talks, monthly meetings, and audits.
  • Administrative Support: File electronically on a daily basis, keeping up with all trackers to ensure the correct information is available to all members of the team.
  • Report Processing and Finalization: Process and finalize reports in a timely manner.
  • Safety Matrix Management: Manage Safety Sync training Matrix.
  • Safety Audits and Compliance: Assist in safety audits and COR compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in health and safety, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in safety/environmental-related experience.
  • Construction Experience: Construction experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive/working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry safety standards.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License.
  • Personal Qualities: Results-driven with a focus to deliver success in a fast-paced environment, outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives, superb communication and interpersonal skills.
