Key Responsibilities- Conduct Health and Safety Inspections
Conduct regular health and safety inspections of our facilities, including offices, construction sites, and industrial areas, to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and Implement EHS ProgramsDevelop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs, including training, emergency response planning, and incident investigation.
Provide EHS SupportProvide technical support and guidance to employees, management, and external stakeholders on EHS matters, including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and control measures.
Lead EHS InitiativesLead and participate in EHS initiatives, including the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Collaborate with StakeholdersCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including management, employees, and external stakeholders, to ensure effective communication and coordination on EHS matters.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
ExperienceFive (5) or more years of progressive experience in Environment, Health & Safety, or industrial hygienist related work.
CertificationsCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation preferred.
SkillsExcellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.
KnowledgeThorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) Legislation and Regulations, Environmental Protection Act, Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks practices and procedures.
