Position Overview

AECOM Buildings + Places, our architectural division, is seeking a Structural Engineer specializing in Marine Structures. This role will focus on the design and analysis of marine facilities and infrastructure, including jetties, wharfs, and piers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical input for structural studies and the design of marine facilities and infrastructure.
  • Act as a senior technical resource and advisor for project teams.
  • Develop study and design protocols to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and assess technical efforts for projects.
  • Utilize expertise in all phases of completing discipline components of project specifications and estimates.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
  • Draft technical specification sections.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A University Degree in Structural Engineering and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the structural design of marine facilities and infrastructure.

Equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.

Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with pile foundations and concrete decks.
  • Familiarity with saltwater construction practices.
