Position OverviewAECOM Buildings + Places, our architectural division, is looking for a Structural Engineer specializing in Marine Structures to join our team. This role involves working on marine facilities and infrastructure projects, including jetties, wharfs, and piers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical input for the structural analysis and design of marine facilities and infrastructure.
- Act as a senior technical resource and advisor for project teams.
- Develop study and design methodologies to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
- Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
- Prepare construction cost estimates and technical effort assessments for projects.
- Utilize expertise throughout all phases of the PS&E package completion.
- Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Draft technical specification sections.
- Contribute to the engineering budget and schedule development to meet project requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the structural design of marine facilities.
Equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pile foundations and concrete decks.
- Familiarity with saltwater construction practices.
