Operations Director

The Wohl Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing, warehousing, and maintenance sectors. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving excellence through LEAN manufacturing principles, ensuring our team is trained and held accountable, and setting the standard for efficiency and performance within our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's mission and objectives, providing leadership to ensure all operations are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
- LEAN Manufacturing: Lead the rollout and integration of LEAN manufacturing principles across all operations, continuously monitoring, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all facets of manufacturing, warehousing, and maintenance operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the departments, implementing and upholding stringent quality control measures.
- Team Development & Training: Establish training protocols to ensure all staff are equipped with the required skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and fostering a culture of mentorship.
- Accountability & Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational departments, monitoring, reporting, and driving accountability based on set KPIs.
- Staffing & Resource Management: Develop and execute staffing plans to meet operational demands, collaborating with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent, and managing budgetary concerns related to operations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Foster strong cross-functional relationships within the organization to drive synergy and collaboration, acting as the main point of communication between operations and senior leadership.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, regularly reviewing and updating safety guidelines and procedures.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, with a Master degree being a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations leadership role in the aerospace sector, with a proven track record in LEAN manufacturing principles and their successful implementation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
