POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a comprehensive understanding of Commercial Lines insurance products, showcasing a strong client-centric approach and the capability to present alternative solutions to clients.

We seek a dedicated insurance professional who aligns with our company philosophy of prioritizing our Clients' Best Interests. The chosen candidate will effectively manage their workload and contribute positively to a cohesive team environment.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing stress while maintaining a courteous demeanor, ensuring the best outcomes for clients, the brokerage, and the team as a whole. The ability to accept feedback and adapt to changes is essential for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering prompt service to clients and assigned accounts by providing guidance, assisting clients in understanding their insurance needs, and addressing inquiries through various communication channels; Inputting client data into our Business Management System (BMS) and/or Policy Works; Preparing binders for new and existing accounts and ensuring that liability certificates are issued to all insured parties prior to renewals; Drafting necessary documentation for insurers, completing applications for new clients, and issuing insurance certificates; Engaging with insurance providers, negotiating with underwriters on behalf of clients, and managing the renewal process, including follow-ups with claims adjusters; Regularly updating client information within the computer system; Modifying insurance summaries to reflect current requests; Informing clients of any changes to their policies; Maintaining awareness of outstanding tasks and responsibilities; Providing backup support for Account Executives as needed; Ensuring all claims are submitted to the insurer and following up with clients to confirm proper handling of claims.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent; Active license with the Alberta Insurance Council, specifically a minimum Level II General Insurance license; Over 5 years of experience in commercial lines, preferably within a brokerage setting; Insurance designations such as CAIB or CIP are considered advantageous; Familiarity with Power Broker and Policy Works is a plus; A positive and respectful demeanor towards clients and colleagues; The successful candidate will be capable of working independently or collaboratively, managing a diverse portfolio for multiple Account Executives, and demonstrating self-motivation and attention to detail; A high level of professionalism and integrity is essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS
