Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team at Leibel Insurance Group. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Commercial Lines products, excellent client focus, and the ability to offer alternative options to clients.

The successful candidate will be a true insurance professional who embodies our company philosophy of "We keep our Clients' Best Interest in Mind." They will be able to prioritize their workload, be a reliable part of a happy team, and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customers and assigned alpha split with prompt service by offering advice, helping customers understand insurance, discussing customer concerns, and addressing walk-ins, emails, and phone calls.
  • Enter clients' information on our Business Management System (BMS) and Policy Works.
  • Create a binder for all new and existing business and ensure liability certificates are provided to all insureds before the renewal.
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, and issue insurance certificates.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters on customers' behalf, negotiate renewal of terms, and follow up with adjusters on claims status.
  • Continuously update client information on our computer system.
  • Update insurance summaries to correspond with current change requests.
  • Notify clients of changes.
  • Keep current with abeyance's and workload.
  • Backup for Account Executives, if required.
  • All claims must be sent to the insurer, and follow up with the client during the next business day to ensure the claim has been handled appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Completion of High School.
  • License in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council, minimum Level II General Insurance license.
  • 5+ years of commercial lines experience, preferably in a brokerage.
  • Insurance designations such as CAIB or CIP are considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power Broker and Policy Works is considered an asset.
  • Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and coworkers.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage a busy book of business for multiple Account Executives, and be self-motivating and detail-oriented.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.

Location and Status

  • Calgary, AB.
  • Full-time, Monday through Thursday 8:30 – 17:00, Fridays 8:30 – 16:30.
