Opportunity Overview:

Under the guidance of the department supervisor, the Reception and Clerical Coordinator is responsible for performing reception and various clerical tasks within the Diagnostic Imaging sector. This role involves assisting in the management and upkeep of all records related to appointments while collaborating closely with other teams in the Diagnostic Imaging area.

Role Summary:

As a Senior Administrative Assistant, you will leverage advanced administrative skills and specialized knowledge to facilitate intricate procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department.

Essential Qualifications:

- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Essential Qualifications:

- Grade 12 or equivalent is mandatory.
- Medical Terminology Course is required.
- A minimum of 3 months recent experience in a healthcare setting, focusing on booking, reception, and clerical responsibilities is preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts based on operational requirements.
- Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, Internet, and Email).
- Accurate and proficient typing skills – a minimum typing speed of 35 wpm is necessary.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor, manage stressful situations with empathy, and remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently.
- Skilled in meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to uphold strict confidentiality.
- Competence in prioritizing tasks and managing frequent interruptions.
- Proficiency in utilizing dual monitors.
- Completion of 'It's Your Move' training is required.
- Capability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
- May assist healthcare providers with the lifting or transferring of patients.
- N95 fit testing is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with DI Front Desk and Registration Basics.
- Completion of a recognized Business/Clerical course is desirable.
- Recent experience in Diagnostic Imaging is preferred.
- Previous experience with electronic Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling is advantageous.
