About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Chef Cho Restaurant Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our discerning customers.

Culinary Leadership

Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.

Inventory Management

Oversee the ordering, storage, and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal levels and minimize waste.

Food Safety and Quality

Ensure that all food preparation and handling procedures meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Staff Development and Training

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.

Customer Service

Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Training

Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to support their integration into the team.

Cultural Competency and Diversity

Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.

Indigenous Support

Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers to support their career development and advancement.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Language

English.

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week.
