Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at The Prairie Creek Inn. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of food service staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on restaurant performance and operations
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Establish work schedules to meet the needs of our restaurant and staff
  • Serve food and beverages to customers, providing exceptional customer service
  • Plan, direct, and monitor activities of the sales department to drive revenue growth
  • Monitor quality and production levels to maintain high standards
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to support staff development and growth
  • Balance and deposit cash, handling financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Perform data entry to maintain accurate records and inform business decisions
  • Handle cash transactions, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Co-ordinate special events, such as weddings and conferences, to drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience
  • Implement and advertise promotional programs to drive sales and revenue growth
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • ProServe program certification
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Criminal record check
