Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Associate to become part of the Finance Business Partner team within the Management Analytics (MA) group in the Finance department.

The MA team provides essential financial information and insights regarding performance, costs, and exposures to facilitate management decision-making at both departmental and total Fund levels through the Finance Business Partners.

The selected candidate will play a vital supporting role across various Investment departments, contributing to the development of tailored reporting, analytics, and insights related to investment performance, costs, and exposures.

Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate within a team to produce analytical reports for investment departments, effectively communicating the narrative behind the numbers to Senior Management.
2. Create engaging materials to support discussions, including innovative data presentation through charts, tables, and visuals in pre-read and presentation formats.
3. Assist in the annual business planning process by developing an annual and long-range budget that aligns with departmental strategies and expectations prior to the fiscal year commencement.
4. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of information supporting financial reporting and analysis through coordination within and across departments.
5. Support and contribute to new data and analytics initiatives aimed at enhancing information flows and providing insightful recommendations to internal business partners and Senior Management.
6. Collaborate with Finance colleagues to develop self-service capabilities and multi-dimensional reporting/dashboards to meet the evolving analytics needs of the departments and the Fund.
7. Build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and across CPP Investments, including investment departments and the Office of the Chief Investment Officer.
8. Address ad-hoc business requests to facilitate Board discussions, support evaluations of investment programs and strategies, and identify value-add drivers.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in financial analysis within financial services or consulting.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional designations (CFA, CPA, CIPM) are advantageous.
- Proven experience in SQL, Python, Tableau, and/or Power BI is considered beneficial.
- Strong presentation skills with experience in creating compelling presentation decks in MS PowerPoint.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate among multiple stakeholders and effectively manage project deliverables.
