Hotel Front Desk Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Ramada by Wyndham Quesnel. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure a warm welcome to our hotel.
  • Room Reservations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Guest Services: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Departure Process: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, to support the front desk team.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide assistance to guests and colleagues as needed.
  • Special Needs: Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Youth Employment: Participate in initiatives that support youth employment and development.
  • Veterans: Participate in programs that support veterans and their families.
  • Indigenous People: Participate in initiatives that support Indigenous people and their communities.
  • Visible Minorities: Participate in programs that support members of visible minorities.

Work Environment: This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
