Course Overview:
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering instruction to undergraduate students in BUSI 2402U – Corporate Finance.
Course Schedule:
Mondays 6:40pm – 9:30pm
(Subject to change)
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the lecturer is to design and teach a comprehensive and relevant course at the university level, adhering to the course outline provided. The instructor will utilize a technology-enhanced learning framework, incorporating a variety of inclusive teaching methodologies and assessment strategies. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and delivering course content and assessments.
- Grading assignments and providing timely feedback to students.
- Being available for student consultations throughout the course duration.
This role is part of the bargaining unit represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and is subject to the collective agreement terms between the University and PSAC. Candidates must confirm their legal eligibility to work in Canada for the contract's duration.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching at the undergraduate level, demonstrating a commitment to educational excellence.
Required Education:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Master's or PhD/PhD (ABD) Degree in Finance;
- Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (MBA) with CFA certification and evidence of teaching this course or its equivalent at the university level within the last three years.
Possession of a CFA designation is considered advantageous.

Preferred Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated teaching excellence in a commerce program, particularly in finance. Competence can be showcased through course evaluations and/or formal peer assessments.
