Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time instructor to deliver courses in Manufacturing Sciences within the Mechanical Engineering program. The successful candidate should possess relevant industry experience and a strong commitment to fostering student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster an engaging and supportive learning atmosphere
- Encourage active participation from students
- Effectively utilize educational technologies
- Update and enhance the curriculum
- Work autonomously and show initiative
- Collaborate with students, program teams, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Relevant academic degree with industry qualifications
- A minimum of five years of recent professional experience
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Applied research experience is advantageous
- Proficiency in using current technologies to enhance student learning
- Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with the Ontario college system
