Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at HI Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise guests on wine selection and serve wine with confidence and knowledge.
  • Inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer guests' questions regarding menu items and preparation methods with enthusiasm and expertise.
  • Assist guests with special needs and ensure their experience is tailored to their requirements.
  • Attend to seating arrangements for large groups and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
  • Perform opening and closing activities to ensure a seamless operation.
  • Receive guests' reservations and assign tables with a smile.
  • Receive payments from guests with a professional and courteous attitude.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Work under pressure.
