Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accommodation Planning Manager to join our team at the Toronto District School Board. As a key member of our Strategy and Planning Department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our schools and ensuring that our facilities meet the needs of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to a team of planners.
    • Manage and provide leadership support in the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Accommodation Studies and Planning
    • Develop and implement the TDSB's Long-Term Program and Accommodation Strategy.
    • Provide advice and guidance to Principals, Superintendents, Trustees, and members of the public on key areas of responsibility.
  • Enrolment Projections and Facility Utilization
    • Lead the team in the annual process to produce enrolment projections, forecasts, and facility capacities.
    • Liaise with key contacts in other TDSB departments and other organizations to obtain inputs.
  • Strategic Planning and Policy Development
    • Assist in strategic planning for the Strategy and Planning Department.
    • Develop and recommend appropriate action plans to deal with strategic issues.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Participate in working meetings and represent the TDSB at public meetings.
    • Respond to inquiries, provide insight and perspective, facilitate discussions, and manage conflicts.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare reports for senior management and Board approval.
