Role Overview

As an Accommodations and Ergonomics Consultant at Alight, you will play a critical role in planning, conducting, and evaluating accommodation and ergonomic solutions to support our clients and their employees. This position requires a high level of expertise in Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the end-to-end case management of accommodation for disabilities and return to work absence, ensuring all Service Level Agreement measures are met.
  • Conduct thorough telephonic or in-person intakes to determine employee abilities and workplace barriers, collecting relevant medical and non-medical information to assess individual needs.
  • Develop and implement individual accommodation plans, identifying the most appropriate accommodations and solutions, and documenting all client contact in electronic and written format.
  • Monitor and update plans, providing regular reviews to ensure effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, communicating regularly with clients to review reports, address concerns, and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience and education in Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy, or relevant certification in a related field.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and handle complex situations in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and web-based tools.
  • Interpersonal and client relationship skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients.
