About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Manager to join our team at Majer's Motel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our motel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, ensuring that they are aligned with our company's goals and objectives.

Staff Management

Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent service to our guests.

Performance Management

Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to staff to help them improve their performance and achieve their goals.

Training and Development

Conduct training sessions, providing staff with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles.

Customer Service

Ensure that our guests receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.

Financial Management

Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring that our business is financially stable and profitable.

Marketing and Promotion

Develop and implement marketing plans, promoting our motel and attracting new guests.

Maintenance and Repairs

Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that our motel is well-maintained and in good condition.

Complaint Resolution

Address customers' complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and fairly.

Special Needs Assistance

Assist clients/guests with special needs, providing support and accommodations as required.

Business Planning

Develop and implement business plans, ensuring that our motel is aligned with our company's goals and objectives.

Scheduling

Establish work schedules, ensuring that our staff are able to provide excellent service to our guests.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as hospitality or business.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and other stakeholders.

Computer Skills

Proficient in MS Word and MS Office, with the ability to use technology to support business operations.

Transportation

Public transportation is available.

Work Conditions

Fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Physical Capabilities

Standing for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move objects as required.

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude.
