Retail Store Supervisor

Nan's Country Store is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Assign sales staff to duties, ensuring that the sales floor is adequately staffed and that customers receive prompt and courteous service.
- Teach interest or professional development courses to sales staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge to improve customer satisfaction.
- Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and compliant with company policies.
- Order merchandise, maintaining an adequate stock level to meet customer demand.
- Authorize the return of merchandise, ensuring that all returns are processed efficiently and that customers are satisfied with the resolution.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring that the sales floor is adequately staffed during peak periods.
- Sell merchandise, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational challenges.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and that merchandise is easily accessible to customers.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail supervisory role.
- Permanent employment with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
