Position Overview
GEI Consultants, Inc. stands as a leading firm in Canada, offering comprehensive engineering and environmental solutions to a diverse clientele across both private and public sectors.
Your Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will work under the guidance of experienced management, contributing to various roles in municipal and private sector design and construction initiatives.
Key Duties Include:
- Performing detailed engineering design calculations;
- Collaborating with drafting personnel to ensure accurate drawings;
- Creating construction specifications and engaging with suppliers;
- Providing support for contract tendering and administration;
- Conducting fieldwork alongside senior staff, including field measurements, condition assessments, and construction inspections;
- Executing additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of an Engineering degree program;
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities;
- A desire to expand knowledge in design, construction, and operations within a multi-disciplinary consulting context;
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint;
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic team environment;
- A valid driver's license and familiarity with AutoCAD are advantageous.
