About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at Marcello's Market & Deli. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and catering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to meet the demands of our catering services.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food to ensure high-quality service.
    • Motivate staff to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience in a food service establishment is essential.
    • At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
  • Work Environment
    • Food service establishment with a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and motivate staff to achieve exceptional results.
