TouchBistro is currently in search of a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to provide maternity leave coverage for a duration of 13 months within our Corporate Accounting Division.

Reporting directly to the Finance & Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with the supply chain department to manage inventory needs and oversee month-end financial reporting.

Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to, supporting the month-end closing process, conducting a thorough analysis of income statement fluctuations, and facilitating payments to hardware suppliers.

In this capacity, you will engage with various teams across the organization and external partners, contributing to the development of a robust financial framework to support TouchBistro's growth trajectory.

Inventory Reporting:

Develop new monthly and weekly reporting formats while enhancing existing reports to deliver insights into historical performance and future inventory trends. Utilize technological advancements to optimize business processes and ensure accurate accounting and valuation of inventory.

Data Analysis:
Examine inventory data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement. Lead the consolidation of month-end inventory results and guarantee the precision of financial reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, communicate, and analyze inventory performance, order requirements, and credit availability.
Reconciliations:
Conduct month-end reconciliations for designated balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating issues, resolving discrepancies, and clarifying variances.
Compliance and Controls:
Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory obligations related to inventory management. Establish and monitor internal controls to protect inventory assets.
External Audit:
Support annual external audits. Identify and implement process enhancements and system upgrades to streamline inventory reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess over 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst capacity, with some background in inventory management and collaboration with supply chain teams. Experience in a public accounting environment is preferred. You should have completed or be actively pursuing an accounting designation and have familiarity with IFRS, along with experience using accounting and billing software.

Proficiency in month-end closing processes, variance analysis, and reconciliations is essential. You should have demonstrated expertise in Excel and be comfortable managing large datasets. Flexibility is key, as the organization is dynamic and your daily responsibilities may vary. Experience in a mid-sized company, particularly in software or manufacturing sectors with hardware offerings, is advantageous.
