Position Overview:
As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing financial guidance and support to the Enterprise Real Estate (ERE) Project Portfolio. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and involves comprehensive project financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver end-to-end financial support for projects, including:
- Development of financial business cases.
- Monthly assessments of actuals versus forecasts against established plans.
- Facilitation of project planning and forecasting processes.
- Generation of insightful reports and analyses while critically evaluating project performance.

2. Collaborate closely with the Real Estate Business and Segment Finance teams to ensure adherence to project accounting standards and effective portfolio management.

Financial and Business Accountability:
Manage the financial tracking and reporting aspects of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with the annual fiscal budget. Conduct monthly evaluations of financial outcomes against key benchmarks, including quarterly and annual project plans and forecasts. Identify and communicate significant changes or risks to the portfolio.

Provide valuable input to the Segment Finance team for monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning. Support financial and strategic portfolio analysis for senior management teams, consolidating data from various financial sources to create actionable insights.

Strategic Contributions:
Drive strategic discussions by challenging existing assumptions and presenting alternative options to achieve organizational goals. Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards in business cases and project governance.

Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Segment Finance Partners, Operations, and Business Management. Collaborate with technology teams to enhance reporting capabilities and implement controls for accuracy.

Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Finance, Project Portfolio Management, or Management Reporting.
- An accounting designation or progress towards one (CPA/CGA/MBA/CFA) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Banking industry and experience in project costing or business case functions is preferred.
- Knowledge of real estate financial analysis and Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in Financial and Project Management systems (e.g., CA PPM, Hyperion, Insight) is beneficial.
- Understanding of IFRS 16 (Lease Accounting) is an asset.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook are essential.
