Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our Finance & Accounting team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in establishing the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data for precise forecasting and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Prepare variance analyses and effectively communicate financial drivers to internal stakeholders during the month-end closing process.
- Identify inefficiencies in processes, lead improvements, and implement best practices in financial planning.
- Offer decision support through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to assist special projects and strategic initiatives, evaluating the financial impact of business opportunities.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role, ideally within the tech start-up environment.
- Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong command of financial software and tools (e.g., Google Sheets), with advanced Excel skills.
- Passionate about contributing to the development of a strategic finance function, adept at solving complex business challenges through accurate and timely financial models, analyses, and recommendations that drive business impact.
- Residing in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area, with a preference for hybrid work arrangements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Experience working in a scaling fintech company is advantageous.
