About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at General Assembly Pizza. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless restaurant operations.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
    • Ensure accurate cash handling and reconcile cash reports.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
    • Develop and implement marketing plans to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
    • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Technology and Systems
    • Manage electronic cash registers, point of sale systems, and other restaurant technology.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in restaurant management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and electronic cash registers.
