Position Overview:
As the Senior Financial Planning Manager within BFS Finance, you will play a pivotal role in delivering financial insights and guidance for designated client segments. This includes collaborating closely with the Canadian Banking strategy teams to develop business models that support various industry sectors, segments, and strategic initiatives, as well as preparing presentations for BFS senior management as required.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will oversee direct Non-Interest Expense (NIE) actuals and the planning/forecasting process, while also supporting efficiency management initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining cost allocation methodologies at both product and segment levels to ensure accurate assessments of segment profitability for management discussions and strategic planning.

You will ensure timely analysis and reporting of revenue, expenses, and balance sheets, effectively communicating with business segment partners. Your proactive financial management of expenses will include forecasting, planning, and providing ongoing decision support and financial analysis for all active initiatives.

Industry Analysis:
You will conduct vertical industry sector analysis for the entire Business Financial Services sector and by client segment, facilitating management discussions and business reviews.

Collaboration and Validation:
Validation of identified NIE savings in the Performance Accountability Reports (PARs) and the Quarterly Tracking Plan (QTP) memo will be essential, requiring collaboration with other financial advisors as necessary.

Cost Allocation Models:
You will develop and maintain robust cost allocation models that guide management in interpreting product profitability and related driver information, supporting strategic decision-making.

Database Management:
Enhancing the TPR database in collaboration with the DNA team and maintaining it for various ad-hoc analyses will also be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and industry experience, with a strong understanding of RBC's planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- Deep knowledge of performance drivers and outcome measures within the financial industry and RBC products.
- A creative, innovative, and strategic mindset.
- Proficient Excel modeling skills and strong technical capabilities, including experience with Tableau database management.
